About Me
I grew up in the City of West Covina, where the oranges were plentiful and the swimming
was often! With siblings all older than I, I ended up in the deep end of the pool a lot. As
neighbor friends, we knocked on each others doors for the invitation to come out and play;
we ate each others food (the mom's always made great sandwiches - PB&J's); we ran the
great race to catch the ice cream truck, after hearing the call of that infamous chime; we hid
in each others yards to play hide & seek.
These are the memories gifted by my parents that created the greatest environment known as:
"Our Community"
As a mom who raised two pretty fabulous son's, I had the pleasure of repeating that gift for
them. A backyard they could "be boy's" in (windows not replaced too often); driveways we
could lay on at 4:am to watch a lunar eclipse together; creative decoration (well, that's what
they called it) of their own rooms, that helped promote their individual characters; friends
sleep-overs for movie nights or musical jam sessions; planting of the tulip bulbs given as
loving gift, grown by our neighbor's awesome green thumb helping to beautify our yard and
further strengthen our "community" relationship. New Memories
